It’s time to visit Struga with your dog

There’s nothing like the unconditional love of a pet. They show you affection, give you a sense of purpose, and greet you every day when you come home (well, maybe not if you have a cat). There are a lot of beautiful sayings, quotes and stories out there about the rare kind of magic pets bring to our lives. So today we would like to tell you the story of Vanja from Struga – another heroine who is part of those people who do small things that are of great importance to the environment.

This time the story is intended for our most faithful travel partners which are our pets – especially dogs.

Vanja produces dog food from Macedonian products. She got this idea from her friend Suze, as well as the desire to do something creative and which of course will include her three dogs.

The combination of the love for dogs and love for cooking gave her the idea to produce healthy biscuits for dogs.

Everything she uses to make the biscuits is healthy for the dogs. The products do not contain any harmful ingredients and contain a mix of products of Macedonian origin. According to Vanja, Macedonia is a country that offers the most delicious fruits and vegetables and the biscuits are made primarily with apples, carrots, pumpkin, rice, eggs and honey.

Vanja has only been doing this for a few months, but she is very happy that she already has a group of loyal supporters and customers who regularly buy from her and so far no one has complained that a dog does not like the biscuits.

Struga is ideal for growing various agricultural crops, which people sell on the market, from where Vanja constantly buys.

Buying from the market is not only because she pays a lot of attention to healthy food, but in this way she supports the individual producers.

Her opinion is that in Macedonia the idea of using unused food is still not sufficiently developed, with exception of some companies that offer their products as a donation to associations and activists who feed 10, 50, 100 and even more stray animals.
